Congress organisers

Dementia SA's primary aim is to provide innovative services and support to address the challenges faced by people with dementia, their families, carers in formal and informal settings in South Africa. We believe in strengthening community awareness and understanding of all forms of dementia and advocate for training and education in ageing communities. It is in these communities where there are many elderly who are vulnerable and at higher risk of developing a dementia and exposed to various forms of abuse as a result of memory and cognitive impairment.

With the magnificent Table Mountain in the background and it's expansive views over Table Bay and the Waterfront, The Pavilion Conference Centre offers a glorious setting.

The Pavilion is conveniently located within Cape Town's expansive and internationally famous Waterfront, a short distance from Cape Town's harbour, twenty minutes from Cape Town's International Airport and only five minutes from the Cape Town City Centre.

The Pavilion Conference Centre has gained an enviable reputation for function and conference facilities, receiving numerous awards over the last few years, including the Diners Club Cellar Award every year since 2001, as well as being a finalist in the Leading Venue Awards (category: 'venue without accommodation') for three years running.
