Lines that would work on me if I was a girl

Recently my friend Candy, in typical female fashion, wrote a blog post pooh-poohing men’s feeble attempts at pick up lines which failed to arouse her sexual interest.

I’ve noticed that women love doing this – belittling men’s attempts to break the ice with them with witty one liners. It’s become some kind of fiendish game that women enjoy indulging in. I think it’s because they somehow feel powerful and in control when they are in a position to shoot a guy down.

And so begins the war of the sexes.

Running down her list, I found one that stuck out like a sore thumb, a line that would definitely work on me, if I was a girl.

Did it hurt… when you fell from heaven?

Of course, no matter what the line was that was used (on me), the guy would have to be very hot and muscly like, for instance… Tom Welling (aka Clark Kent) aka Superman in Smallville. This man is absolutely to die for, don’t you agree?

Of course, Kristin Kreuk (that’s the girl on the right) is also to die for. She’d have me at, "Hello".

So what lines work on you?

   Yeah Rich, I do agree that he’s cute. But he’s too perfect – almost not real, you know?

   And btw, it isn’t just that I like to smack men down (which is fun – of course), it’s also that teeny element of insincerity in the typical pick-up line that turns me off.

   Candy, I think that any guy who uses a pick up line in lieu of striking up a genuine conversation with a girl reeks of insincerity.

   But still, if he’s hot, one should always give him the benefit of 5 minutes before kicking him in the nuts.

   At my age I could most probably come up with a pick-up line or two, but the problem is I have forgotten why I would need them.

   Cheesy pick up lines only work when the guy knows there cheesy… if he’s using soemthing lame with a little smirk on his face and then laughs, or apologises for being lame, i think thats cute. Worst one i’ve ever heard though ?
